That said, I have to admit that Putin HAS, indeed, check-mated Obama here & there - esp in re to the proposed War on Syria, and for that, I'm glad.

No, I'm not a huge Putin fan. But these kind of moves by various world leaders are called: balance of power. It happens, and frankly, it's healthy in many regards.

Many USians of whatever political persuasion may *believe* that Team USA Fuck YEAH! should get to have the "say" on everything. Well, I disagree. There needs to be cooperation and negotiations, and that may mean that someone like Putin can push the USA away from things like expensive & entirely unnecessary Wars of aggression.
