Foreign aid always has strings attached. The countries mentioned supply us with oil and/or other commodities and allow us to build and occupy military bases there. And we leverage these countries HARD to wring those concessions out of them. The state department doesn't really care if they vote with us or against us because most resolutions aren't even voted on.
Now were we to shut down those bases and bring our soldiers home, that would save us billions annually.
What's that? You want to build even MORE military bases around the world?
Well, you reap what you sow.
Facts, somehow, are always "unbelievable" to rightwingers. They only find fiction, fairy tales and rightwing lying propoganda "believable."
