FW: Debt Ceiling

Why does it seem simple problems have simple answers

You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup and you have sewage up to your ceilings.

What do you do ... raise the ceilings, or pump out the crap?

Vote out of office EVERY liberal progressive at all levels
or you will have voted in higher inflation, put SS and Medicare that we paid into all of our lives in Jeopardy.
These are NOT entitlements. A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolves!

Hmmm. Interesting. Well I'm totally in agreement to vote every sitting whore pol out of office, wether they're charactized as "liberal" or "conservative." They are all bought off by the corporations, and there's little difference between any of 'em.

I *quite agree* that Obama and many so-called "Democrats" are itching to gut Soc Sec & Medicare. That is very true, and everyone should be well aware of that fact.

But I find it risable that this propoganda is disingenuously stating that neither Soc Sec or Medicare is an "entitlement." Frankly it's the rightwing propoganda machine that's been shrieking endlessly that both of these programs - neither of which contribute to the US debt (albeit there may be some issues with Medicare later) - are indeed dreaded entitlements.

I've had numerous rightwingers on other blogs writing me nasty diatribing comments about how *I* am some lazy welfare slacker expecting a "hand out" for wanting to get back what I *contributed* to Soc Sec and Medicare. I've seen clips of Rush ranting & tirading about the "evil" that is Soc Sec and Medicare because they are "entitlements."

So who ya gonna believe? Your lying eyes or your lying ears?

BTW it's not just Obama and some "D" pols who are itching to gut Soc Sec and Medicare. ALL "R" pols are out to gut it as well.

This is just propoganda to fool the rubes into voting for Magic Undies Mitt Romney.

Because you're too dumb to know that these are complex problems?

Yes, they are. They are the very definition of "entitlement". You pay in, you are entitled to get benefits out. Good plan thought. Vote out liberals, the only people who might maybe not want to destroy SS and medicare, in favor of conservatives, who have shown they do want to destroy those programs. Its like a double reverse jinx or something, it just has to work!

The United States enjoyed its greatest prosperity for most citizens under progressives. Jobs were plentiful, wealth distribution was decent, and infrastructure was solid.

The center-right and the extreme right have held power for the last 31 years and look at the pile of shit we're mired in.

Heck, we need MORE liberals to help steward the country, not these neocon, tea partyin', John Birch loving whackjobs.

A link to a passionate but woefully ignorant rant about how Barack just needs to "balance the budget". Which is crazy, because the budget HAS NEVER BEEN BALANCED! We have ALWAYS had a national debt! This isn't about "balancing the budget", something that most people don't care about and would rebel against if we ever took the actions necessary to do it.

Racist

Why? Because the person in that video is black? Doesn't change the substance of the message, which is passionate but also shortsighted.

Pretty lame, troll.
