Guccifer 2.0's Latest Dump Reveals Dems' Massive Pay-to-Play Operation

Surfaced in Tuesday's dump of purported Democratic National Committee documents by the hacker Guccifer 2.0 is a detailed list of well-heeled donors and the political positions they received.
One list shows 57 donors and the monies raised and/or donated to the DNC and the Organized for Action (OFA) group, a community organization for the policies of President Barack Obama.
The list shows the donations as of Nov. 28, 2008 — weeks after Obama was elected to his first term.
According to the list, these are the top 3 donors and the positions they were granted by Obama:
·         Matthew Barzun: $3.5 million, Ambassador to the UK;
·         Julius Genachowski: Nearly $3.5 million, Chairman FCC;
·         Frank Sanchez: $3.4 million, Under Secretary of Commerce.
The lowest donor to receive a pay-to-play position, No. 53 on the list, was Bill Eacho ($950K), the Ambassador to Austria from 2009 to 2013.

"The DNC is the victim of a crime — an illegal cyberattack by Russian state-sponsored agents who seek to harm the Democratic Party and progressive groups in an effort to influence the presidential election," interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile said in a statement Tuesday, reports USA Today

Not worried. If these allegations are true, then we can all rest assured that the Republican-led Congress will investigate...

...just as soon as they finish investigating Hillary's email yet again.

Fuck the DNC and the DCCC. A bunch of corrupt, corporate whores.

Unsure if it's true or not. Not a fan of the corrupt DNC and DCCC. I will say, though, that these types of pay to play donations have been going on forever, and it happens on both sides of the aisle. If anyone thinks the GOP doesn't have the same thing happening, guess again.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I'd love to see all of this stopped, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, the DNC ( nee DLC ) and the attendant "Third-Way" direction of the party has moved them quite far to the right, economically. They are openly courting "moderate" republicans to both raise the size of their tent and to pass legislation that is hostile to the working class ( TPP, go after SS stc ) in their tried and tested triangulation strategem. Corrupt corporate whores indeed. That's why I supported Bernie Sanders and still intensely dislike HRC.

That said, the GOP was/is corporate friendly by design and was doing their anti-working class MO longer and doing it better than the "new democratic party" does.

Until there is a viable ( able to win despite the corruption of the current system ) candidate, we're screwed. Right wing dads don't know this, as they're still barking up the god & guns tree, and see corporatism only in the democrat's camp.

God damn, ferschitz, "they do it on the other side of aisle, too".

Fucking WEAK response, but nonetheless, very predictable from a fuck head like yourself.

Now, scoot along....go vote for that dumb ass Libertarian, Mr. Aleppo, if you will.

Gee. What a shock. People who donate big bags of money get high positions in government. It's like Franklin Delano Roosevelt never appointed Joseph Kennedy to the Court of St. James after he helped FDR raise money.

This is just the partial Bush record:

G.W. Bush nominated as U.S. ambassador to Canada, David H. Wilkins, who had raised more than $200,000 for Bush.

G.W. nominated his frat bro, Michael M. Wood, as ambassador to Sweden in 2006.

From from 2004 to 2006 Ambassador to Sweden was Teel Bivins, a Bush Pioneer in 2000 and 2004 who raised at least $100,000 for Bush in the 2000 and 2004 campaigns.

Bush nominated Roland Edmond Arnall as ambassador to Netherlands in 2005 after he and his wife gave $5 Million to a Bush PAC.

John Price, appointed ambassador to Mauritius after and donating nearly $700,000 for Bush.

Sam Fox who donated $50,000 to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, was named ambassador to Belgium. He and his wife contributed nearly $1.5 million to Republican campaigns.

His predecessor was Tom C. Korologos who made $111,300 in political contributions over the 2000 to 2004 election cycles.

He replaced Ambassador Stephen Brauer who personally contributed more than $308,000 to federal parties and candidates during the 1999-2000 election cycle, every cent of which went to Republicans.

Donald H. Alexander wrote a $100,000 check to the Republican Party. Within six weeks the White House offered him the job of U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands.
George W Bush nominated a multi-millionaire car dealer and art collector, Robert Tuttle to the Court of St James after he raised more than $100,000 for Bush.
