That said, I consider Dr. Naik to be a crackpot of the first order.
I've never heard of this Naik character, and I don't know if, in fact, that's what he said or not. It's just as likely that some rightwing think tank is attributing this statement to him falsely. I have no idea.

So what is it, Charlie? Don't tell us that you're a Satanist.
"Smart ass" comment about cannibalism? The concept of transubstantiation in the Catholic Church teaches that the host and the wine used in communion, once blessed by the priest, are the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ.
If they are the literal body and blood of Christ, then Catholics are, by definition, practicing cannibalism when they partake of communion.
That has nothing at all to do with what I personally believe. If you have questions about transubstantiation, talk to the Pope. If you have questions about cannibalism, consult a dictionary.
