The difference between the U.S. Supreme Court and the Ku Klux Klan is that the members of the Supreme Court dress in black robes and scare white people.

Well, let's consider this.

100 times out of 100 the current incarnation of SCOTUS rules 5-4 in favor of corporations and the billionaire class at the expense of the rest of us, and that should scare everybody. Except that's not what this is about, now is it? Today's conservative always does the happy dance on news of those rulings, because fuck liberals. So it must be something else.

Oh yes, medical insurance for poor people and gay marriage equality. But a sizeable swath of whites are at the poverty level and so is a large percentage of gays.

So which white people are being scared? A distinct, declining minority who have been 100% on the wrong side of history regarding everything. Yeah, I guess that must be pretty scary.

"so is a large percentage of gays" was meant to be written as "and a large number of gays are white".

I wish we had an edit function. Not the last time I will ever wish this, either.

John Roberts has been Chief Justice for about a decade now, and this court has repeatedly ruled for Republican interests, with two notable exceptions.

And thanks to those two exceptions, 73% of Republicans now believe that this Court is too liberal.

Can't they rejoice just a little bit in the harm they've done with Citizens United, Hobby Lobby, and DC v. Heller? Those three cases alone hurt millions of people and the two they're complaining about help millions of people.

The horror!

John Roberts ruled in favor of both ACA cases because BigInsurance. That ACA may benefit some portion of the population - heaven forfend it might be dusky-hued poor people - is what gets these Tea Bagger panties inna bunch.

Roberts is no liberal. He ruled the way he did because the corporations told him to rule that way. ACA is a giant give-away to BigIns, BigPharma, BigHospital, BigMedicalDevice, etc. Yet Tea Baggers are mad bc someone other than them *might* benefit from this rightwing Heritage Foundation plan first propounded by Bob Dole.

What a bunch of maroons.

And frankly it's corporations who wanted gays to have marriage equality. They are the ones that are pushing this envelop, too, just as corporations also pushed to have the racist confederate flags removed from stores and from the SC State capital.

Why? In both cases, corporations like WalMart (of all businesses) recognize the fact that the majority of US citizens support gay rights, gay marriage and getting rid of racist disgusting emblems, like confed. flags from US public property.

This RWF is just pandering to an increasingly smaller audience, who will remain bigoted racist dumbfecks until the day they die.

This is aimed at the same self-righteous rightwing zealots who'll defend the Duggar family to the nth degree and keep believing that Sarah Palin & her spawn really "represent" them and their interests. IOW racist idiots, easily taken in by amoral grifters.
