FW: The man who impeached Nixon?

Subject:  The man who impeached Nixon?

Again, as Paul Harvey would say, "It ain't one World!"

Do you know this man who impeached Nixon?

He is Edward "Ed" Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937.
Then you'll probably say, "Who is Ed Mezvinsky?"

Well, he is a former Democrat congressman who represented Iowa's 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.

He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon.

He was outspoken, saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation ... and should be impeached.

He and the Clinton's were friends and very politically intertwined, for many years.

Ed Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him.

In 1993, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding vote that got President Bill Clinton's controversial tax package through the House of Representatives.

In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud.

Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.

He was found guilty and sentenced to 80 months in federal prison.

After serving less than five years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008 ... and remains on federal probation.

To this day, he still owes $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.

About now, you are saying, "So what!"

Well, this is Marc and Chelsea Mezvinsky.

That's right; Ed Mezvinsky is Chelsea Clinton's father-in law.

Now Marc and Chelsea are in their early thirties and purchased a $10.5 million dollar NYC apartment(after being married in George Soros' mansion).

Has anyone heard mention of any of this, in any of the media?

If this guy was Jenna or Barbara Bush's, or better yet, Sarah Palin's daughter's father-in- law, the news would be an everyday headline and every detail would be reported over and over.

And yet say there are no double standards in political reporting.

And then there is possibly Chelsea for president in our future!

The cycle never ends!

Lying and corruption seem to make some candidates more popular.

---Off topic:

---no RWD e-mail forward exists about the chain of pipe bombs that were sent in October of 2018. I had hoped that there would be such an e-mail, with some kind of idea as to what most of the right wing thought of it. Now we are back in the 1970s Watergate scandal?

@Pickum, no I have not seen anything about Cesar Altieri Sayoc Jr. Out of curiosity I searched the internet and have found nothing, so to the best of my knowledge I don't believe the right wing thinks about it at all. What with the all imaginary threats of AOC (I didn't even know who AOC was and had to google it after getting that e-mail.)

Back in 2017 right after the Las Vegas mass shooting, I stumbled upon some article on Reddit stating that Stephen Paddock was some sort of #MeToo Anti Trump Democrat. I never did get this in an e-mail forum, it would have been good to post up...

I would assume that if pressed on it RWD would proclaim that Cesar Sayoc was paid by George Soros & Hillary in some sort of grand conspiracy to send dud bombs around to liberals and make right wingers look crazy or something along those lines.

Ha! After writing up that response I Googled "conspiracy Cesar Sayoc" and came up with this article: Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and others stick with conspiracy theories after mail-bomb suspect’s arrest

Apparently Rush Limbaugh suggested that a “Democratic operative” was more likely to have sent the devices than a Republican. So there you go, it is all a big conspiracy...

I'm sure if Hillary were president we would be treated to hours of this historical narrative on Fox, congressional investigations and plenty of viral emails too. Are there so few cases of dirty Dems that they must dig back 45 years for something to use as chaff in this time of Republican crisis?

Of course, HILLARY IS NOT PRESIDENT!

But I do believe Republicans staring at another wholly corrupt Republican presidency being exposed are wishing that she was. While the phrase "worse than Watergate" has cropped up from time to time since Nixon, I do believe we have a winner for that prize this time.
