Anyone who is old enough to remember praying in school, which was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 1962, was attending school back when the NRA was an organization that promoted gun safety.
In 1977, there was a de facto coup in NRA leadership, and the new regime instituted a "put a gun in the hands of everyone" policy that led to the dramatic proliferation of guns in this country, without regard to who owns them.
Also - if praying keeps school shootings away, why aren't you praying now for them to end?
