I Think I'll start wearing a Cross       A Real Big One

                                    I Think I'll start wearing a Cross

The following is a TRUE story of something that happened over the
holidays that will really make you think & it could happen to any of us.

A young 17 yr.  old boy was shopping in St. Cloud, MN. at a sports
store, called Sheels.
The cashier was a Muslim lady who was wearing her headscarf.  The 17
yr.  old was wearing a necklace with a cross on it.  She told him he would
have to put his cross under his shirt because it offended her.  He told
her he would not do that.
Then he told her that he thought she should take her headscarf off.
She then called for the manager.  The manager came out & told the 17 yr.
old to just put his cross under his shirt and everything would be fine.
The boy again refused to do so & at that point he left the items at
the check out that he had intended to purchase & walked out of the store.
Several customers who had been in line behind him had heard the
conversation & also left their carts full of items & walked out of the
store !!
I SAY KUDOS TO THE 17 YR. OLD !!!   We all know we are in some very
changing times, & given the same circumstances, I pray we would all have
the courage this young lad had.
Many Muslims are becoming very belligerent to Christians.  Our Bible
class spent a some time talking about the challenge we are facing for our
first amendment right of religious freedom.
(Makes one wonder what’s next ??  Are they going to try to ban the
jewelry store owners from selling any jewelry with a cross on it ???)
Please pass on, & be ready to defend your religious rights!
God bless you, & God bless America
.

False right out of the gate.

Apparently there's a version with the kid wearing an American flag pin, according to Snopes.

Fake Christians: always butt-hurt about something.

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

So obviously contrived...Nay, utter bullshit. Politcal/ideological masturbation.

These mooks just can't resist some faux righteous indignation over the strawman/boggeyman of the day, can they. In their ever shrinking bubble it seems they'll just keep adding to the list till it's just them vs the world.

Yes, the latter sounds like a very Christian thing to do.

I look forward to seeing what idiotic brainwashed person is arrested for trying to burn down a shitty strip mall store because of a made up e-mail...

Hey, couldn't be on the internet if it weren't true.

Our Bible class spent a some time talking about the challenge we are facing for our first amendment right of religious freedom.

Why not spend time discussing "the Bible" instead? You know - how there really isn't any single book called "the Bible", and how there are dozens of different versions and multiple translations?

How there's really no evidence at all that Jesus ever existed? And how this book that you call "the Bible" is demonstrably a book of Jewish folklore and nothing more? You could ask why the King James version mentions unicorns nine times, or whether the early edition of same that said "Thou shalt commit adultery" was a typo or really God's literal word.

You could discuss any or all of those things. Instead, you're discussing how put out you feel when the entire world doesn't respond in the exact way you'd like every time you throw your religion in their faces.

Projection pure and simple. Reverse the word order of "Muslim" and "Christians" in that sentence, and that's what is factual.

MRWM showed me the cross she started wearing after she read this one. No kidding, she really did (bur she didn't own up to the story coming from an email.)

I don't recall her ever wearing a cross before, despite a lifetime of church attendance. I'm sure she is waiting with baited breath for that belligerent but imaginary person to tell her to hide her cross so she can rant at them, or call the police or something. At her advanced age she needs a fun hobby, and unfortunately, reading viral emails is it.
