ISRAEL'S DISPROPORTIONATE RESPONSE

Many countries and world leaders have accused Israel of responding disproportionately to aggression from Hizballah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.
However, it is time that the world press and media speak of another disproportionate response from Israel.
The terrible disastrous earthquake in Haiti has generated responses from many nations. The US has sent supplies and personnel, Britain sent 64 firemen and 8 volunteers, France sent troops for Search and Rescue. Many large and wealthy nations of the world sent money. The Arab and Moslem world nothing.
Israel, a nation of 7.5 million people has sent a team of 220 people that include Medical personnel and will establish the largest field hospital in Haiti, treating up to 5000 people a day, an experienced Search and Rescue team and medical supplies. As in previous earthquake disasters, such as in Gujarat India in 2001 and in Turkey, in the bombings in Kenya, Israel has been one of the most generous givers of aid and assistance
Turkey seems to have forgotten this help as its extreme Moslem Government is cozying up to Iran.
Judge Goldstone, where are you now? Eating your heart out and hanging your head down in shame I hope.
The favorite occupation in the UN is Israel bashing. More resolutions have been passed condemning Israel than all the so called democratic nations such as Sudan, China, Russia and others for their crimes against their minorities.
I think it is time that the world should know about Israel's disproportionate response.

Please forward this to as many people as you can.

I think it's great that Israel is helping Haiti even
as pig-people like Limbaugh decry any aid to the
Haitians.

But then this statement appears:
"Turkey seems to have forgotten this help as
its extreme Moslem Government is cozying up
to Iran."

And it's suddenly obvious you either have no
clue as to Muslim governments or you have
another axe to grind.

Turkey is THE most democratic muslim
government in the world. It is a secular
constitutional republic and is a member of
G-20, NATO and the Council of Europe.

Why diminish your point by lying?

Great, lets turn helping those in desperate need into a cheap political ploy.

Naturally this is incorrect about Muslim nations not giving anything to help. Saudi Arabia gave $50 million. Several other muslim nations have sent money and personnel to help. In fact, even the Palestinians in the West Bank have collected and donated goods to the Red Cross. Sadly, the Israeli blockade has made exporting these goods very difficult and many donations have had to be turned away.

Another interesting case is Cuba, the sworn enemy of the United States, which was first on the scene with almost 400 doctors who have been working to help the Haitians. I suppose we'll be getting a RWF praising the Cubans for their work soon, right?

Oh, and gruauds right about Turkey. Where does that come from? Turkey is both a Democratic muslim nation and a nominal ally of Isreal. Plus they have sends both supplies, money and rescue personnel to Haiti. Not really sure where the writer gets off dissing them.

A brief google of "David Yehezke" didn't bring up much of anything. Clearly this guy has an axe to grind, as he is definitely LYING. I heard about the Saudi response really early on, as well as the response of others in the Middle East.

Rightwingers have lost not one moment in using this tragedy of epic proportions to make hay with it as a desparte political ploy. Shame on them, but yeah, I know: these self-involved types feel no shame.

Whoever wrote this is a lying jerk, but those who forward it on are just as bad.

But consider this: in fiscal 1998 Haiti received $106 million from the U.S, the No. 9 nation among foreign aid recipients. Ten years later, it didn't even make the top 15 list.

Compare that to the more than $5 billion paid out to Israel and Egypt.

Israel is trying to get the most possible PR mileage out of their trip to Haiti. See here: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/201716-Israel-Haiti-s-disaster-is-good-for-the-Jews-

Wait, Palestine was donating to the Red Cross? I suppose when the West Bank is in less trouble than you, that's the sign that you're really effed up.

(It's awesome that they're donating, btw.)

Israel’s medical team left 11 days after they arrived, roughly at the same time the world’s TV cameras shut off their lights and went home.
