FW: FW: Obama's Legacy

Republicans seem to forget that the Affordable Care Act was based on a plan created by a Republican think tank, and that the only reason we got that bill instead of single-payer is because the Heritage Foundation's plan was the only one the Republicans would agree to support.

Of course, when it came time to vote, they wouldn't even support their own plan.

The ACA could have been a lot better, but it's still the best piece of legislation to come out of Washington in decades, as it covers preexisting conditions and eliminates lifetime caps.

We're still waiting, by the way, for the "better" healthcare plan that Republicans have been promising for the past ten years.

Also, we did have record economic growth for eight years (eleven, if you're counting the continued growth that ran through this year) during the Obama administration.

Don't know why all the Republicans who got rich off of the stock market growth under Obama won't give him credit for it.

Oh- and Obama created a pandemic response team and a comprehensive pandemic response plan, just in case an out-of-control virus should ever show up on U.S. soil.

That's a big deal. Or it would be, had Trump not fired the pandemic team two years ago.
