Fw: Bill and Hillary at the Baseball Game

Bill and Hillary are at a Yankees home game, sitting in the first row, with the Secret Service people directly behind them.

One of the Secret Service guys leans forward and whispers something to Bill. At first, Clinton stares at the guy, looks at Hillary, looks back at the agent, and shakes his head "no". The agent then says, "Mr. President, it was a unanimous request of the entire team, from the owner of the team to the bat boy."

Bill hesitates ... but begins to change his mind when the agent tells him the fans would love it! Bill shrugs his shoulders and says, "Ho-Kay! If that is what the people want. C'mere Hilly baby..." With that, Bill gets up, grabs Hillary by her collar and the seat of her pants, lifts her up, and tosses her right over the wall onto the field.

She gets up kicking, swearing, screaming, "Bill you"!$#@&!". The crowd goes absolutely wild. Fans are jumping up and down, cheering, hooting and hollering, and high-fiving. Bill is bowing, smiling and waving to the crowd.

He leans over to the agent and says, "How about that; I would have never believed how much everyone would enjoy that!"

Noticing the agent has gone totally pale, he asks what is wrong.

The agent replies,

"Sir, I said they want you to throw out the first 'pitch'."

A year ago, I thought today was surely going to be Hillary's coronation where she would receive her tiara.

Too bad she had so many self inflicted wounds and was such a flawed candidate. The 3:00 a.m. tweeting orange fool who started his campaign 18 months ago, gave Americans what they wanted. An abrasive mother fucker who will shake up the system, while not owing a single penny to any of those assholes in DC.

Let's roll.

What many conservatives don't get is that many (not all) Democratic voters have more nuanced views about politics. Speaking for myself (but also from recollection of some of the other regulars here), many of us have expressed concerns or dislike for Democratic party policies and politicians. There's less of this tribal party identity, which seems more prevalent with conservatives.

The troll exhibits the usual attitude: kiss my ass. Why? Trump is becoming the next President of ALL of the USA, not just conservatives. Most of us are very leary of what he'll do, and conservatives would be well advised to be leary as well. That said, speaking for myself, I hope he's successful because if Trump's successful, then it's good for all of us.

That latter sentiment certainly was NEVER ever expressed by Republicans during Obama's tenure in office. Mitch McConnell openly stated that the entire goal of the Republican party was to see that Obama failed and failed miserably. What a frickin stupid thing to want. Obama didn't fail, but he/the Democrats were certainly seriously hampered by the obstructive, do-nothing Congress.

Why Republicans see this level of do-nothingness as a great thing is something I simply don't understand. I'm old enough to remember former times when Democrats and Republicans worked together to ensure that the nation ran well and that all citizens' needs were served as best as possible.

The whole point of this tiny little blog is to highlight rightwing propaganda which has been sadly very successful at nefariously pitting rightwing voters against Democratic voters. What I have ceaselessly pointed out is that this a clever ploy by the Oligarchs to pit you witless gutless wonders against your fellow/sister citizens all in the name of tribalism. Hooray Hooray we BEATED you! We're Number One! USA! USA! USA!

Ya well, good on ya, but the Oligarchs laugh their asses off at how brainwashed you've become. Like good little doo-bees you go along with this junk believing that somehow this benefits you. I guess being able to be an out loud racist asshole is your just reward. If that keeps you warm at night, your belly fed and clothes on your back, I guess that's all you care about.

I have no love lost on Clinton. She should squirm in shame today bc the election was hers to lose. She ran a shitty campaign demonstrating that she was unfit for this office. That said, I think all US citizens, including Republicans, are in for a world of hurt under Trump. If I'm wrong, I'll be happy to admit it. I'd rather see our nation be successful than waste my time and energy simply wanting to BEAT Republicans.

@ fershitz

Nailed it. Republicans have put party over country since Nixon.

gave Americans what they wanted

Except for all the ones who didn't vote for him.

An abrasive mother fucker who will shake up the system,

He's not going to shake up shit. He's a puppet, Pence (and Putin) will do most of the decision making. Its going to be sad when he finds out the hard way that government is not a business and people won't just jump at his command.

while not owing a single penny to any of those assholes in DC.

No, just owes huge favors to Putin. That's way better for a POTUS.

And Trump does owe money to people in DC: the contractors who built his new hotel. He's got 3 liens already for unpaid work. Quite a job creator, stiffing contractors their just wages. Jesus would approve I'm sure.

Let's roll.

You remember what happened after that, right? Reminder: THE PLANE CRASHED! Maybe be more careful with your metaphors.

"We might also think of the essence of American politics as the manipulation of identity politics – and identity-based hatred – by elitism. Reduced to a corporate-managed electorate (Sheldon Wolin), the citizenry is identity-played by a moneyed elite that pulls the strings behind the duopoly’s candidate-centered spectacles of faux democracy. As the Left author Chris Hedges noted three years ago, “Both sides of the political spectrum are manipulated by the same forces. If you’re some right-wing Christian zealot in Georgia, then it’s homosexuals and abortion and all these, you know, wedge issues that are used to whip you up emotionally. If you are a liberal in Manhattan, it’s – you know, they’ll be teaching creationism in your schools or whatever…Yet in fact it’s just a game, because whether it’s Bush or whether it’s Obama, Goldman Sachs always wins. There is no way to vote against the interests of Goldman Sachs.” (We can update that formulation to say “whether it’s Trump or where it’s Hillary.”)"

Goldman Sacks always win. They're laughing their asses off now all the way to their off-shore accounts. But hey! Republican voters get to believe fervently that they gave the shaft to Libruls.

Dream on... you've been played. Once again.

It is difficult to have witnessed the mindless obstructionism of the Republicans against Obama and to forgo the desire for payback in kind against Trump. Payback, not for revenge sake, but to demonstrate to these anti-Americans politicos that their behavior has consequences.

However, I think that Republicans payback will come in the form of repealing and replacing Obamacare. Republicans demonized this bill simply because it was Obama's even though it was something originally crafted by Republicans. Now they have no real ideas for changing it that would work, because it is essentially THE right wing health insurance bill. (The left wing healthcare reform would be Medicare for all.) For myself I hope they do buckle down and craft something good for the country. But my fear is they will put in little effort at reform and much effort at propaganda for their golden new bill to be dubbed Trumpcare.

A lot of Republican voters are suddenly awakening to the fact that ACA, which the rightwing media manipulatively called Obamacare, is actually a big part of the reason why they either could: a) buy health care insurance in the first place at an affordable cost, and/or b) buy health care insurance with a prior condition, and so forth. There's been surveys where conservatives are shocked to learn that they've been benefitting from ACA, which they didn't realize was Obamacare.

Now that Trump and the Republicans are poised to repeal it, they're awakening to a cold hard reality that they've been conned into voting for Trump by devious means. Of course, shame on them for not realizing that ACA and Obamacare are one and the same thing, and that they, in fact, benefitted from it, all while cheering on their representatives in Congress to keep repealing it.

And Trump voters wonder why people say they're stupid? I really don't want to get into name calling because that plays into the Oligarch's hands, but it's hard not to feel frustrated when this type of crap happens over and over. Republican voters are trained to get steaming mad because a Democratic politician proposes a new initiative no matter how much it might actually benefit them. It's just axiomatically bad because it was proposed by a Democrat.

Well Republican voters get to live with the consequences of their precious vote over the next four years, and we'll all get to see how that works out. Good luck with your health care insurance!

I call projection on the troll. Most of the regulars here have offered much constructive criticism of the Democratic party and politicians over the years, and quite a few said they didn't even vote for Clinton. We're not the ones who mindlessly vote for the same party over country no matter what.

"I call projection on the troll."

Are you fucking kidding me? He's a fucking troll, he isn't projecting shit. His job is to get a rise out of the regulars and build clicks. He'll say deliberately stupid shit, and then say some reasonable shit, and then immediately revert back to stupid shit. Clickety-click, dumbasses. You react like Panlov's dogs.

And I'm willing to bet Mike Hawk is the site owner, because clicks are advert revenue. The regulars here are as conned as the alt-right is by Trump and his sloppy bullshit.

It's all a game.
