> Dear Jann,
> The premiere for the disgusting
>   program "Impastor" aired July 15 10:30 p.m.
> ET/9:30 p.m. CT. The first episode included a man stealing
> someone's identity who happens to be a gay pastor.
> The main character, posing as a gay preacher, recently hired
> sight unseen by a church that was aware of his lifestyle
> choice, but then start to notice other characteristics not
> typical of a pastor. The previews which air earlier in the
> evening are including the pastor having extensive knowledge
> of the quality of drugs and dialogue concerning sexual
> relations with cantaloupe. The church secretary catches the
> pastor sleeping around with women and other behaviors not
> typical of a Christian, much less a pastor.
> This show not only depicts pastors in a negative light, but
> the entire program will also be based on lies about
> Christianity. TV Land has crossed the line by belittling the
> Christian faith with foul jokes.
> We need to send a loud and clear message to advertisers that

> Christians must take a stand and not be silent. Networks

Never heard of this show. Probably never would have if not for this whining from butthurt Christians. Maybe there's a lesson there.

Also, let me get this straight: the guy is NOT a pastor. That's the premise of the show. He's a non-pastor pretending to be a pastor, and somehow this reflects poorly on pastors?

Red Lobster? You mean the restaurant chain that serves the shellfish that the Bible forbids eating?

"TV Land is not ridiculing any other religion currently and wouldn't dream of mocking Mohammed or Muslims."

Lots of people do though. Does that piss you off? Huh, wonder why.

Actually, said impastor is promulgating Christian values and is helping people in need. As far as I know, that's what real Christians would espouse.

But fake Christians being outraged? Oh yes, I totally get that.
