Yawn.

P.S. - Although that does look like I hit CharlieE's head/brain with "poo", since I'm a poo slinging capuchin monkey. :-)

Actually it pretty much sums up Congress in general.

Seen the same thing only the first time I recall it was used to describe Conservatives but hey....whatever. I didn't vote for Obama so that leaves me out of the equation.

This rather juvenile cartoon is just another reminder that, on average, voters on the Left are better educated than voters on the Right.

Charming. And very mature.

Mike Hawk said...

Again, CharlieE "ain't" too bright...throwing out such a blanket statement that "on average, voters on the Left are better educated than voters on the Right."

Oh really? Do you have any references that you can cite for us? BTW - And what do YOU, CharlieE, consider "better educated"??? That is totally up to interpretation and personal bias.

What a dork!

P.S. - Let's say your claim is true (and that includes the elitist Liberals in predominately university towns)....why are most Liberals either middle class or flat-out poor ass citizens of this country?

gruaud said...

Mike, you are living proof that smart people vote liberal.

I realize that holding a conversation with one of the trolls on here is a pretty pointless exercise but here goes...

why are most Liberals either middle class or flat-out poor ass citizens of this country?

You’re making a false equivalency, believing that wealth=smart. I’ve known some really smart well educated people that work as teacher and social workers making next to nothing. They do it because they take pride in their work and like what they do as opposed to some of the people on Wall Street that tried (and did) make as much money as they could in the shortest amount of time, then passed the buck to the taxpayers. I’m not necessary sure that swindling people out of their money is “smart” as much as it is a self-centered lack caring about other people.

In addition just because you’re a salesman doesn’t mean you’re smart. Look at Steve Jobs compared to Bill Gates. Gates took Jobs’ ideas and sold them to make a lot more money than Jobs did. Which of them was smarter?

I’ve known some self-proclaimed liberals that were as dumb as a bag of hammers, and I’ve known self-proclaimed conservatives that couldn’t tie their own shoes. The bigger difference that I see between the Liberal/Conservatives attributes is that a lot of the people that claim they are conservatives have a general lack of empathy towards other people. They are either unable or unwilling to put themselves in anyone else’s shoes, or try to look at the world either objectively or at least from another perspective. They see everything as black and white absolutes, where their subjective moral view is somehow superior to someone that they don’t know nor willing to relate towards.

Personally I try to live my life treating others the way I would like to be treated, if that make me a “Liberal” than I am fine with that.

I for one find it hilarious that Mike is demanding backup links or supporting documentation for someone's comment.

So Senor gruaud, how much/many subsidies did you qualify for on your ACA (Obummercare) healthcare policy? You damn parasitic leech.

And you, Randall....subsidies?

And ferschitz....subsidies?

Grown, supposedly "intelligent" (well-educated) men relying on subsidies in order to afford healthcare policies.

You'll are friggen' Einsteins.

What about all the homeowners who take advantage of the mortgage credit to subsidize their homes? Are they not intelligent?

What about small business owners who take every possible tax break and subsidy in order to run their businesses? Are they parasitic leeches too?

gruaud said...

"You'll are friggen' Einsteins."

I seriously can't tell if this is parody or genuine stupidity.

Anonymous said...

Nope and nope.

Most liberals rent.

Small business owners are job creators.

Where did you learn how to debate, Candyland?

Anonymous said...

Most liberals rent.

And? Even if that is true (and it's not in my case), that doesn't answer the question. Are all those CONSERVATIVE homeowners moochers? If not, then maybe they should give back their mortgage interest subsidy.

Small business owners are job creators

And? If they're so great, why do they need write offs and subsidies to create jobs?

And if creating jobs is enough to legitimize a subsidy, then that should also apply to health care subsidies. The ability to buy health insurance with subsidies creates jobs by making employment less costly for employers and allowing people to start businesses without the fear that they won't be able to get health insurance.

Buying insurance is also financially beneficial to the insurance industry (duh) and the expansion of insurance under ACA has been a huge boon to hospitals, who now have more customers with an ability to pay for services. Those two things also create jobs and help the economy.

Where did you learn how to debate, Candyland?

I'd take Candyland over wherever you learned to "debate". Candylandh is more logical than anything you've vomited out on this website.

FFS, just when you think the trolls can't get any dumber they prove you wrong.

Anonymous said...

LOL at Schitzengiggles. :-)

ACA is devoid of any cost controls....wake up ans smell da' coffee, fool!

Single payer would have been far superior to the mess (from a financial cost control measure) than Obummercare.

However....c'est la vie, bruh.

Anonymous said...

ACA is devoid of any cost controls.

False. But you knew that.

Single payer would have been far superior

I'm all for it. Unfortunately the best we could do was a Republican idea like the ACA (which suddenly became the worst thing ever when Dems passed it).

Whenever you want to follow through and move to single payer liberals will be happy to help.

@ Anon

Am I supposed to be impressed by your links?

The first is a list of vague conservative policy reforms presented by an anti ACA front group funded by the Koch brothers. I'd bet good money that if the Democrats put any of these suggestions into place suddenly they would be considered horrible socialist ideas. It a classic stall tactic. They didn't want single payer, so they proposed an ACA style reform. Once Dems adopted that, suddenly they don't want an ACA style program, they want these other ideas.

Your second link says that some will pay more under ACA. Duh. Many people had shitty insurance or no insurance. By definition they will pay more than they did before. They will also get more.

And more importantly, many people will pay less, and many people will now have insurance, which is the goal.

Ever heard of a search engine? They're useful tools.

As for the name calling, how old are you, five?

Hey CharlieE,I'm just DYING to elect another president who tells me "sometimes you've made enough money", that we need to "spread the wealth", or "you didn't build that". I can't want for another president who thinks we should play kissy-kissy with our enemies, and who is afraid to say that the terrorist attacks are the work of Islamic terrorists. I jump for joy when I think we can elect another person who lies rather than tell the truth, who refuses to take responsibility and throws his staff under the bus, and who aids organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood again and again.

The Republican field contains many contenders. The Democrats offer.......Hillary Clinton? A warmed-over candidate who has never accomplished anything except being married to a guy who was president. (None of her jobs since being First Lady (?) were based on her own achievements. She would not have been Senator had it not been for Bill.) She offers nothing except more of the elitist, nanny-state socialist policies of her predecessor, and she has even less credibility as a chief executive than he did.

For some reason, every twenty years or so, we forget that individual achievement and individual responsibility are the qualities that built America, and we elect a liberal. Liberal policies do not work, unless, of course, your goal is to have an educational system that celebrates and graduates mediocrity, an economic system that punishes achievement, social programs that perpetuate victimization of the population, generational poverty and dependence. If those are your goals, then liberalism has been wildly successful.

t who tells me "sometimes you've made enough money", that we need to "spread the wealth", or "you didn't build that".

Really? Who was the first President who said those things?

I can't want for another president who thinks we should play kissy-kissy with our enemies

Ya, Osama bin Laden is just loving all the kisses he gets nowawday, and I'm sure kisses will make up for the fact that Putin is now isolated and broke.

and who is afraid to say that the terrorist attacks are the work of Islamic terrorists.

Again, who is that?

I jump for joy when I think we can elect another person who lies rather than tell the truth, who refuses to take responsibility and throws his staff under the bus,

Really? You want to elect W again?

and who aids organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood again and again

In what ways has Obama done this?

The Republican field contains many contenders.

Sure does, that clown car is positively overflowing.

But ya, I'm sure glad we have guys like Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, and Jeb Bush who are in no way elitist and who didn't rise to power because of family connections. No sir.

Liberal policies do not work,

So true. Democrats have a better economic record than Republicans, but let's ignore that. Besides Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the minimum wage, worker protections, investments in infrastructure, and environmental protection, what exactly have liberals ever done for anyone?

gruaud said...

Mike, every time you get "serious" and post one of your long rants, you come across as remarkably uninformed. About anything.

But since you're really just in it to troll for the lulz, the rest of us won't weep over the obvious decline of US education after reading you.

Mike Hawk said...

Oh come on gruaud...I "is" a college graduate. :-(

Rightwing trolls endlessly repeating Rupert Murdoch's shit lies that have no basis in factual reality.

People who rent are "liberals" and are therefore useless jerks to be despised and derided? WTF?

Owning a home means you are "good" and also a conservative worthy of praise and much fawning adulation? WTF?

So stupid. Just being paid to indulge in more divide and conquer useless pitting the 99s against other 99s in order to distract us from the corporate fascist .01% who are ripping us off.

Get over it commenters here. It's not worth the time it takes to refute this clearly abject bullshit.

I no longer consider myself a "liberal" bc I don't even know what that means, other than some stupid means of being nasty to someone that you don't know, have no idea of what you do, how you live, etc. I'm no liberal. But the trolls who are paid to fling this shit at those who are serious commenters here are certainly not what they vaunt up to be "conservatives" either.

Neither label has one iota of meaning anymore, esp in regard to anyone currently employed in the US govt in the District of Criminals.

Defending one gangster thug criminal group against another gangster criminal theiving group?? THIS is your idea of a good time? And somehow meaningful to you?

We all need to move on to find ways to heal these rifts and figure out how to treat one another better than this.

Just saying...

Don't let the bastards grind you down!
