Yup, I'm sending this one on because I find it so despicable that this president and his minions took and are still taking the position they have about Benghazi......I hope you will send this on to everyone in your address book......it's not about politics, it's about what is the right thing to do.

A SHORT POEM YOU WON'T FORGET
"A bump in the road" .... remember that calloused statement? I don't know the author of this poem... I just received it today.
Very thought provoking and poignant. I do recall, however, the President referring to the Benghazi incident as "a bump in the road." Today I heard an ex-Navy Seal being interviewed on Fox News regarding a book he has written about how to handle crisis situations in our lives. At the end of the interview he asked if he could make a comment on Benghazi and of course the anchor said yes. He then thanked Fox News for keeping the Benghazi story in the news, since other news organizations are not. He said the Seals who died deserve the public knowing the truth about the whole affair.
This poem was written by a MARINE CORPS Officer (ANON)
THE BATTLING BOYS OF BENGHAZI
We're the battling boys of Benghazi
No fame, no glory, no paparazzi.
Just a fiery death in a blazing hell
Defending our country we loved so well.
It wasn't our job, but we answered the call,
fought to the Consulate and scaled the wall.
We pulled twenty Countrymen from the jaws of fate
Led them to safety, and stood at the gate.
Just the two of us, and foes by the score,
But we stood fast to bar the door.
Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,
So we fought, and we fought, and we fought 'til we died.
We gave our all for our Uncle Sam,
But Barack Obama didn't give a damn.
Just two dead seals who carried the load?
No thanks to us.........we were just "Bumps In The Road".
So will this reach every American with a computer? Or do we act like the press and give a pass to the incompetent people who literally sat there in the White House and watched the Seal's execution on live streaming video and did absolutely nothing? The Obama Administration obviously won't be held accountable because we apparently accept Hilary Clinton's statement, "What difference does it make?"

Ah yes, the "Marines died so we could know who wrote the talking points!"
More refuted a thousand times #BANGAZI nonsense.

For all their bluster, Republicans, once again, stripped more money from consulate security in this year's budget. When it comes down to brass tax, we know which party care more about scoring political points than saving lives.

Woah, normally I'd skip over this dogwhistle piece of glurge with no substance, but then I saw it was written by a marine, and my heart swelled 3 sizes, filling up with Pepsi as I brushed the Dorito's dust from my face and started waving my Made in China American Flag-Slash-Gun Polish cloth. Thank god it was written by a marine.

I haz confused. First the Baggers were riled up to hate on Bamz re BenGHAZI111!!!!1111 bc of Ambassador Stevens being killed. Now they're hating on Bamz bc of the SEALS that got killed??

BEHGHAZI!!!111!!!

I'm sorry for anyone who got killed in that mess. Benghazi, however, has always been a training & gun-running station for the CIA, who is training/arming/running Al Qaeda out of there. Al Qaeda has been sent from BEHGHAZI!!!111!! to Syria to stir the pot there, for example. That's why this fracas happened there. Amb. Stevens was a CIA operative, who also knew that he signed up to be in the line of fire.

I don't see Fox discussing this.

WBush used BEHGAHZI!!!1111!! in the same fashion. It's just that no one happened to get killed in BENGAHZI!!!!!!!1111111 during his term in office. Or, at least, no one that we heard about.

If these tools want to start questioning how/why Team USA is using the Alphabets to run terrorist groups around the planet, then count me IN on that discussion.

As it stands, this is just a distraction meant to rile up the rubes reliably against that Blackity Black Black Kenyan Usurper in the Oval Office.

P.S. SEALS sign up for dangerous duty, where they know that they might get killed. I'm sorry that some of them do, but for better or worse, it's what their job is all about. Are we supposed to blame Obama for every SEAL that's been killed during his term in office? If so, are we then supposed to blame W Bush for all the SEALS that got killed while he was President?

What about the rest of the Military who get killed? Who do we blame for that?

Sentimental claptrap twaddle. Get real.

This 'poem by a marine' would reflect poorly on the marine corps if it were actually written by an officer. We should always honor fallen soldiers. These guys were heroes. But this poem makes them sound petty (as in "But Barack Obama didn't give a damn.") and that is an insult to them and the marine corps. The right wing needs to stop tearing down the military and other things they claim to love by politicizing them so selfishly.

There are also attributions of this doggerel being written by Navy SEALS, rather than Marines, with the first sentence reading:

"We're the battling SEALS of Benghazi"

Pathetic.

I'm glad to see that Republicans are determined never to forget the tragic attack in Benghazi, which was clearly the only time US troops and diplomats have been killed at overseas consulates. Surely this never happened under Bush's administration.

Yes there were seals killed during Bush's term. Rather you like it or not, we were at war then. During Obama's time, there were seals available to help. They were redirected ("STAND DOWN ORDER") to take in the causalities from Benghazi. Which ended up being the dead from Benghazi. If you are from the military and you think that American lives should not at least have a rescue attempted, then why don't you go and serve in Syria right now all by yourself. The poem rather true to fact or not, it represents servicemen that died and maybe they didn't need to. How can a current or ex-service personnel accept the excuse that it was about a video? You shame the uniform you claim to wear, doubt you do.
