Nikita Khrushchev

Nikita  Khrushchev  Quote September 29, 1959
DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN HE APPEARED AT THE U.N. AND BANGED HIS SHOE ON THE LECTURN?
THIS  WAS HIS  ENTIRE QUOTE:

WE'RE ALMOST  THERE!!!
It just goes to show you what lazy “people”, will do for a handout and a free lunch!

So Obama supporters aren't even considered real "people" now?

Fuck you.

Socialism is a system of government where the government itself owns all means of production.

I've yet to see any evidence of anyone even attempting to create such a system of government in the United States.

Or to put it more succinctly:

Socialism. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

This is what struck me, as well.

If you can dehumanize your opponents, then you can do anything to them, like torture and murder.

I fail to see how the ever burgeoning corporate funded plutocracy presently shaping US economic policy is the least bit socialistic. In fact, the corporate alliance with the military industrial complex bent on warmongering, increasingly militarized police forces and such portend another evil "ism", and it starts with an "F", and it's quite the opposite of the [ sic ] "soshulism" the tea tards panic about.

Can you guess what that is right wingers? You ought to know because you've been pushing us this way and or carrying water for the pols and business leaders that do.

I think the words 'socialism' 'communism' and 'marxism' among others have lost their true meaning for right wingers. When they decided to use these words as insults they became as literally descriptive as "dirty, 'rotten' and 'bastard' So they all have pretty much the same meaning which is just "bad."

Adding to what 'Thx 4 Fish said, I'd like to say this in pointing out right wing ignorance of the various "isms", and you are right about their conflation of all of the "isms" being a metaphor for bad.

A good adage to confront teatards with:

"I know what the terms communism, socialism and fascism mean; and i know enough that they are not used interchangeably".

About Nikita Kruschev's alleged shoe-banging incident, which was NOT when Kruschev did make his comment about "we will bury you":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_will_bury_you

Unsurprising that rightwingers - many of whom were old enough to actually be aware of and *remember* those incidents - as I do - completely take the FACTS and bend them to their weird effed up version of rightwing conservatarded not-really-reality.

To be redundant: I could only WISH that Obama and the laughingly labeled "Democrats" were actually more socialistically inclined. Emphatically, they are NOT.

And due to the ignoramous idiocy of easily propogandized, easily bamboozled, easily misled conservatives, this nation has *become* (it's not WHEN will it happen anymore - it HAS already occurred) a FACIST state.

Of course, rightwingers don't know what Fascism means, in much the same way that they are clueless about what Democracy means, about what Capitolism means, about what Socialism means, etc.

Idiots. Not useless idiots, either...

P.S. Not surprising that the photo of Kruschev with the shoe is photoshopped. And per usual, a pretty bad photoshop at that.

There is NO photographic or videotaped evidence of Kruschev every banging a shoe at the UN.

That LIE has been debunked for ages and was put to pasture a long time ago. Yet again, rightwingers of a certain age are only too blissfully happy to latch onto this debunked myth to fit into their weird version of what they call "reality." Dolts.
