Fw: contradictions of socialism

The six contradictions of socialism in America:

  1. America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.
  2. Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.
  3. They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.
  4. Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.
  5. The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
  6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

The six contradictions of socialism in America:
What "socialism in America"? WTF does this mean?
1.America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.
It is true that America is capitalist, but it's the 1% who are greedy. As to how "half the population is subsidized"?? Not so much, but I'll tell you who is heavily subsidized: 1) big corporations, 2) BigPharma, 3)BigInsurance, 3) the Military Industrial Complex & WAR, Inc., 5) the Spy/Spook/"Security" Complex, 6) the Prison Industrial Complex & the "War" on Drugs, 7) all the extraction industries who pay little to no royalities for the coal, oil, gas, etc, that they remove from our nation & often sell to others overseas, the profits of which enure only to the benefit of the 1%.

2.Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.
Those listed, above, who are *heavily subsidized* by OUR taxes, are whining victimizers. Just ask Jamie Dimon, who loves to whine about how horrid it is when the 99% point out what a greedy asshole he is. Where is the link to how "half the population are subsidized"? Subsidized how?

3.They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.
It's true that the USG only represents the 1% and mega-corporations. The last election proved how much money the 1% poured into all the campaigns from the local level on up. But see above for how some of these 1% assholes love to victimize themselves.

4.Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.
YES! Absolutely correct. Statistics bear out that the 1% is growing insanely wealthy, while the middle class is disappearing and the poor are definitely poorer.

5.The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
Ye olde meme that the poor, who can barely make it, should STFU because they have access to washing machines & may own a refrigerator & stove. Wow: can it get any better than that?? Why of course it can: some people who used to have a fridge and a stove and a roof over their heads are now living on the street due to the economic crash which resulted in a huge money-grab by the 1%. Noted that foreclosures continue apace, but yesterday the news came out that Wall ST & the Banks, while cutting worker jobs, are raking in over $20billion in "bonuses" for the fat cat 1%ers at the top.

6.They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
Get a clue. There's been more & more "reverse migration" over the past several years. Why? Because their home countries are better run, and they have more opportunities there.

I get it that rightwingers may see this a cause for celebration, but it also means a type of "brain drain" here. That said, the middle and working classes are not asking for America to be more like some underdeveloped countries - Duh. The middle and working classes would like to see some improvements that one sees in some developed nations, such as Australia, Canada and countries in Western Europe. Duh.

However, it's equally true that the 1% DREAMS and actively is working towards turning America into a third world banana republic, and sadly - due in part to the idiocy of heavily propogandized citizens who believe senseless, unattributed outright lying bullshit like this - we're almost there.

Wake up sheeples: when the reaper comes, he's coming for you... Just because you're a white cracker suck up to the 1% doesn't mean the 1% will "protect" your worthless ass.

1) Logical fallacy: Overgeneralization
2) Logical fallacy: Overgeneralization
3) Logical fallacy: Pure bullshit
4) Logical fallacy: Post hoc, ergo propter hoc. It is because of trickle-down economic practices.
5) Logical fallacy: Relative privation.
6) Logical fallacy: Outright bullshit. Those "other" countries are not the same. Sweden is not Sudan, for instance.

Well, that was easy. What else ya got?

50%? Try 96%. Virtually everyone in America receives government benefits. And in a nation where we're being told 6%+ unemployment is "the new normal" thanks to Wall Street's greed, that's not a bad thing!

The 47% includes the most socialist organization in the country - the US military: subsidized housing, subsidized healthcare, subsidized education, subsidized shopping and entertainment, and what right winger doesn't love this most socialist organization?
Do they ever make any sense anymore? I remember when I used to hear reasonable political arguments from MRWD. These days it's just emotion-charged silliness and hate talk like this that they spew like identically programmed idiot-robots. .
