"Domestic" energy comes from Canada?

20000 jobs? I thought it was 40000? No, 140000. No, a bagillion million infinity! Why oh why did those commie pinkos in Nebraska oppose this pipeline from going through certain parts of their state?

When was the last time Obama talked about "green jobs"? I can find the Wall Street Journal and Fox News harping on it, but not anything in the past year from him, except for that one company that took the money and ran.

I like this one, but what's the airplane?

Branco is saying that never mind if Keystone is enviro-harmful, any kind of Green Jobs initiative is even worse.

Plus, Al Gore. Or something.

It's not even that complex. If anyone who claims to be helping the environment ever uses a plane, conservatives will shriek and squeal about how they're dirty hypocrites.

@Valeyard You may want to read the news more as many parts of Obama's policies and speeches involve green jobs.

Haha, "the news", eh?

Taking a quick look at the White House Web site, there appear to be less than a dozen speeches, announcements, or remarks from Obama in the past year on "green jobs." And there are 390 hits on the site for "President" and "Green Jobs" in the past year, many of them in various ongoing initiatives.

The two big ones appear to be the Green Fleet Initiative in April (which seems, like most attempts at coercing the auto industry, to be doomed) and the one I missed, an annual GreenGov symposium (which Obama may not have actually attended).

In comparison, searching for "Obama" and "green jobs" in the last year on WSJ.com gets 12,223 results, and FoxNews.com gets 23,292.

I think they may be a little obsessed.

Great. I'm sure that program will die a nice quiet death in the GOP controlled house. And of course it doesn't matter, because the President rides in an airplane so everything he ever says about the environment doesn't count. Or something.

you know when you claim we are at the breaking point of global warming (as most libs do) and then you fly around the country and the world for UNNECESSARY things, then yes you are a hypocrite. "We are killing the earth, now if you'll excuse me I have to fly to California for 3 fundraisers and a jobs speech. If only we had technology that would allow me to speak to people when I'm in a different location. Oh well."
