Probably the simplest form of the truth I have seen in a while........

De Oppresso Liber

"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil
interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good."

And what "greatest success" would that be? I thought Obama was losing the wars abroad by setting timetables and not responsible in any way for Bin Laden's assassination...?

Or is this some really roundabout praise for Medicare Part D?

I think this is referring to the hit on OBL, thus somehow justifying the wars and occupations of two sovreighn states, torture, spying on US citizens, etc.

Sorry, that dog won't hunt.

Bush gave up on bin Laden, long ago. None of his wars or torture lead to the death of bin Laden. This is wingnut fantasy bullshit, plain and simple.

A little present for the wing nuts.

Wow! Could a George Washington quote be more bogus! Obviously spurious.

Wow! A preppy from New England in a hat! He thinks it makes him a cowboy. Obviously spurious.

Yeah, um, ok, that's a perfectly fine definition of vindication and if it were true, they might have a point. But, what success exactly are we talking about?

Obama still hasn't taken my guns.

@Anonymous
“what success exactly are we talking about?”

It is hard to tell since this demotivational poster is not done well.
I can only guess that it is this.
President Obama supports the Geneva Conventions and supports human rights law prohibiting arbitrary deprivation of the right to life.
President Bush didn’t think it applied when it came to al Qaeda.
The biggest success that President Obama has achieved so far is:
1.) Health Care
2.) Killing Osama Bin Laden without regards to international human rights.
Number 2 is President Bush’s policy. Doesn’t matter that he gave up or not. It was his policy of not giving a ‘blank’ when it came to al Qaeda.
Now it is one thing done by President Obama that has any bipartisan support.
(Vindication).

To @Anonymous the underminer of American capitalism.

By the way. Do you have to be a "Prick" everyday?

You know, I have to admit this is one of the more creative exercises in being a fuck-tard. So fuck you asshole!

Funny how the RW only seems to care about the opinions of GW.
Fuck you!!

Not quite. The crowing from the right about how Bush's policies lead to Obama taking out Osama had to do with the mistaken right wing myth that "enhanced interrogation" led to the intelligence which led to the raid. Top notch Republican asshole Steve King (the asshole, not the sci fi writer) was clucking about this within 24 hours of the announcement about bin Laden, and he wasn't the only one. This myth has been disproven, but like most right wing myths once its in their brains good luck getting it out.

As for the decision to kill bin Laden instead of capturing him and having a trial, that certainly was Bush's "policy". But it was Clinton's "policy" first, and it would have been the "policy" of anyone in the oval office.

The need for firearms in George Washington's time is quite a bit different from the ginned-up "need" for firearms today. The only "need" that's being served by zillions of conservatives racing out to buy guns 'n ammo is the "need" of the guns 'n ammo industry titans to fleece the rubes for more money.

GW Bush in a cowboy hat? Yet another fake that fleeced the rubes into thinking what a good ole boy & rootin' tootin' "he-man" silver-spoon legacy Bush was. Yeah, right: an allegedly "sober" alcoholic is a "great choice" to have a beer with, so let's go vote for him.

Dick Cheney ran the country, not W. Hate to disappoint the flock with something factual, but there it is.

And W never had any intention of either capturing or killing the son of the Bush clan's best friends, the bin Ladens. Recall that it was W/Cheney who called off the Special Ops Seals from the Tora Bora Hills in October 2001.

Why *waste* a golden opportunity to wage endless, expensive wars (paid for by conservatives & liberals, alike) by, you know, actually capturing our stated "frenemy" so early in the game. Cheney didn't have time to fleece the rubes, yet, via his no-bid govt contracts.

So any notion that when Obama's order to "get" bin Laden can be directly *traced* to some "great decision" of W's is b.s. and horse hockey.
