This is very interesting & good to know

ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY!

With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read labels at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products. Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located. It is important to read the bar code to track it's origin.

How to read Bar Codes ....

GREAT WAY TO "BUY USA   &  CANADA " AND NOT FROM   CHINA!!

The whole world is afraid of China-made

"black hearted goods".
Can you differentiate which one is made in

Taiwan or  China ?
If the first 3 digits of the barcode are
690, 691

or 692, the product is MADE IN  CHINA..

471 is Made in  Taiwan .
This is our right to know, but the government

and related departments never educate the

public, therefore we have to RESCUE

ourselves.
Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that

consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN

CHINA", so they don't show from which

country it is made.
However, you may now refer to the barcode -

remember if the first 3 digits are:
690-692 ... then it is MADE IN  CHINA
00 - 09
....   USA    &  CANADA
30 - 37
...   FRANCE
40 - 44 ...   GERMANY
471  ...  Taiwan
49
... JAPAN50 ...   UK

BUY
USA & CANADIAN MADE by watching for "0" at the beginning of the number.

We need every boost we can get!

Already sliced and diced, but what the hey.

Buy USA if Congress hasn't already gutted the regulations pertaining to its manufacture.

Oh wait, regulations are socialism.

Well, rederick? Tell us how awesome this e-mail is.

Nah, they leave it all to the free market! Which solves everything...doesn't it?

(Oh, sometimes they get SO CLOSE to figuring something out, it almost hurts...)

Here's a hint: if the product says "Made in China" on it, then it was likely made in China.

@gruaud... nothing wrong with buying American. However, this email has very little truth to it.... I hardly see how this is right-wing rederick

I hardly see how this is right-wing

You mean besides the jingoism and lies? Or the fact that it ignores the complexities of the global economy and the complicity of American corporations in pushing for more and more stuff to be made and imported from other nations?

Anonymous said...

yeah besides that

I have no idea who the real Rederick is anymore.

@ katz

Yeah, I tried to tag the little bugger but the hit and run copycats shot that down in flames. Too bad -- he had a lot to answer for and I meant to make him pay.

Anon posting is fine, but I prefer regulars assuming some kind of identity so we can distinguish from the visitors, especially if you take up a contrary position.

Oh well, who wants pie!

It's those evil Unions and Government regulators that force us to buy from those black heart Chinamen. We have a whole lower socioeconomic class we can exploit if there was no interference.

Contrary enough?

I don't want to buy anything from those freeloading canadians

Agree with one of the prior Anon posts - sometimes these conservatives come sooo close to figuring it out. But I'm sure some other b.s. rightwing thinktank lie will be shipped out soon enough to distract conservatives from grasping how we've all be plundered by our elite Overlords.

Good luck finding much of anything made in the USA today. Most of manufacturing has been off-shored to third world countries, esp Chin and Viet Nam, but also now moving towards Africa as the standard of living gets better in China.

Thanks to both Ds and Rs, everything has been de-regulated, and our Overlords feel no patriotic duty to create jobs for serfs in the USA. So: welcome to the free market, folks. This is what it looks like.

Good luck finding goods made in the USA. This is what you voted for: to have third world citizens working in jobs that US citizens used to do.

If you think the Chinese have "black hearts," you might want to reconsider what kind of hearts the upper 2% of the USA have... just saying...

I think we've seen this bogus RWF before. It does come close to being somewhat factual, absent the racist dig at our "black hearted" Chinese masters. But WHO sold US debt to the Chinese?? Methinks a lot of that was accomplished by George W Bush. So, if you conservatives don't like this, why weren't you complaining when Bush was in office????

Man, the trolls on this site really upped the reply count recently, though they tend to be empty calories

Anyway, I'm continually scratching my head in wonder at how e-mail fwds ( as well as many letters on news paper op-ed sections ) written by troglodyte conservative reactionaries fail to connect the dots between offshoring/outsourcing and the universally plutocratic friendly platform of the Republican party. It should be noted that equally egregious are the Brie and Volvo limousine liberals of the Democratic DLC crowd, but I'm amiong my barbs at no so much left vs right, but rich vs working class. It is to this end that working class folks who support moneyed interests ( especially the teabaggers ) baffle me most.

To McCreosote: BINGO!

The *real* issue is the ongoing Class Warfare. IMO, the Republican Party has been *permitted* by the PTB to be "taken over" by the nutbar fringe (which is often racist), and the Dems, esp under Trojan Horse Obama, have become the new face of the old-line Republican party (i.e., your dad's trad conservative, whose at least somewhat more sensible, but still sucking up to the plutocrats).

These RWF, for me, are all about how David Koch funded thinktanks send out junk to rile up the conserva-base (most of whom seem to be the Tea Party types) and senselessly pit them against other "small folks" who happen to vote Democratic.

The battle these days is NOT between the R v. D paradigm. The shift is the upper 2% elites v the rest of us.

As long as rightwingers permit themselves to be pitted against the rest of the worker bees (via their tinpot "gods" RushGlennSarah, etc), we're doomed.

The Oligarchs have taken over the nation and are robbing the middle and working classes blind.

Senselessly focusing on stupid stuff like the purported lie that Obama's going to take away 2d Amed rights to bear arms (he's not), or that unionized workers *may* get a better pension than those in the private sector is *playing right into the hands of David Koch and his elite band of brothers and sisters.*

The Oligarchs laugh at this silly foolish junk and how easily *misled* some portions of the population are.

United we stand, but divided we surely will continue to see the steady erosion of our rights, along with the robbing of our wallets.

Wake up.
