Every Red Blooded American should jump in line to support the Green Bay Packers ! The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon thus earning them the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. By doing so, they saved the Hard-Working, Red-Blooded, Taxpaying Americans literally several million dollars of tax money. How you say? Simple... we were told that if the Chicago Bears had won, President Obama (and probably his family) would be attending the Super Bowl to cheer on his hometown team. Since the Bears lost....the President won't be attending. The money saved from not using Air Force 1, the limousines, all the additional security, and let's not forget Michelle Obama's entourage, is literally several million dollars! Therefore every American should cheer on the Green Bay Packers at the Super Bowl to show them our gratitude. Oh....and let's not forget to thank Chicago Bear's Quarterback Jay Cutler for his role in the Packer's success! With that said...let's circulate this e-mail to everyone we know so they can understand why they should cheer for America's team ... The Green Bay Packers !

I'm sure Cutler tore his MCL on purpose. You know all this stuff has already been paid for.

Given the size of the Republican-built national debt, the amount of money that would have been spent to send Obama to the Super Bowl constitutes little more than a rounding error.

George W. Bush likely would have attended this Super Bowl regardless of who was playing, since the game is being held in Texas. My guess is that no one would have uttered a word about the cost.

Yes, Obama is still a black man. Yes, everything he does, no matter how trivial, is still a horror to Republicans.

I wonder how the Packers feel about this, given that they just sent Obama a signed, personalized Packer jersey as a memento. They must really hate that guy. In fact, the Packers were miffed that he isn't coming. Charles Woodson said he was upset because he's a taxpayer who voted for Obama, so he wanted the President to be there at the game. And I guarantee he's paid a lot more in taxes than anyone who is forwarding this email.

Also, the President's second favorite team is the Steelers, so he could still go if he so desired.

I wonder where all this outrage was when W was flying to Texas every other weekend to clear brush at the ranch? Its the same trip!

Nice little dig at Michelle too, who has the audacity to have such a huge staff. Why its so big, its... exactly the same fucking size as all the other First Lady staffs. The nerve of some women!

Anyway, I was already rooting for the Packers, but that's just cause I don't want the Steelers to win.

And if the Packers win and visit the White House, I can already see wingnuts bitching about how Obama is wasting precious time talking to sports teams instead of doing important things.

Of course, the same thing will happen if the Steelers win.

Conservatives:

Penny wise only when Democrats are in the White House.

Pound foolish ALWAYS.

Eh, it wouldn't matter if he was a white man. He's a Democratic president, so he can do no right.

Racism is employed simply as a tool for why we should hate this particular Democrat - it's just one more excuse to hate. If he were white, we'd be told to hate him for other reasons.

Agree that the wingnuts would hate Obama whether he was black or white... or in reality, bc he is both black AND white. It's ridiculous because there's precious little difference between Republicans and Democrats these days.

All this beefing is just ginned up by Oligarchs, like the Kochs, to distract the wingnuts from the real issues. It doesn't matter that much whether Obama or Bush fly hither and thither to attend sports events or clear brush on their ersatz "ranch" or attend plays in NYC. As another comment said: it's chump change.

The real issue is that *both* parties are working ONLY for the upper 2% elites, and we're all being run by the corporations.

Junk like this is a bright shiny object of *distraction.* Don't look at that super-duper rich dude behind the curtain... booga booga black "Democrat" in the White House fear fear fear.

Lather rinse repeat...

fershitz: Technically Republicans are working for the interests of the top 400 earning Americans, not the entire 2%. Many of the upper 2% earn well under 1 million--and would love to be in a separate tax bracket from the billionaires and to see the billionaires take on more of the tax burden. But the republicans need to keep that 2% right where they are supporting the interests of those who make 1,000 times more than they do. So I say millionaires of the USA rise up and demand your 'minority' rights to be treated as a separate group! ;) It would truly benefit us all.
