Fwd: At A Bar In Montana

Subject: Fwd: At A Bar In Montana

A man is sitting in a bar in Montana and far from home when Barack Obama comes on TV.

The man looks at the TV and says, "Obama is a horse's ass."  Out of nowhere, a local jumps up and punches him in the face, knocking the guy off his bar stool, then stomps out.

He gets back up, rubbing his cheek and orders another beer.  Shortly after, Michelle Obama appears on the TV.  He looks at the TV and says, "She is a horse's ass too!"

Out of nowhere, another local punches him in the other side of the face, knocking him off his bar stool again.

He gets back up and looks at the bartender, "I  take it this is Obama  country?"

"Nope." replies the bartender. "Horse country."

I suggest a new MRWD category for these stale, recycled "jokes." Maybe "Mad-Lib Humor" or "Too Hard to Think of Something New."

It's hard to take these jokes seriously when they come from people who actually miss the days when the government tortured people to death.

Dear CharlieE: while I agree with you in spirit, I'm not so sure that our current Admin is "done" with torture, sad to say. Hope I'm wrong.

But agree that the rightwing sure seemed to have no problem at all with torture, while at the same time constantly waving copies of the constitution and invoking the founding fathers, who, frankly, would be horrified. But who's counting?

Wow, those guys must really, really love the asses of their horses. Frequently and with gusto.

On a vaguely related note, I find it interesting how so-called "horse country" didn't seem to have a problem with a fake cowboy who was afraid of horses.

You'd think a guy who claimed to be a "rancher" while being terrified of the equine species would be, I dunno...insulting to horse people? Because you know, I'm a horse person, and Bush's whole fake-cowboy thing really ticked me off (aside form other things, I mean). Equestrian accomplishment takes time, effort, and dedication, and people who are too afraid of the animals even to do a photo op with one should not, IMO, go around in boots and hats pretending to cowboys and ranchers and implying they have skills they don't have. Just my opinion.

(And yes, Bush was afraid of horses. I suspected it for a long time, and Vincente Fox confirmed it towards the end of the "rancher's" term. As much as I disliked Reagan, I'll give the guy credit for one thing - he did actually put those cowboy boots into stirrups from time to time.)
