Fw: Fwd: Fw: Why can't He be our President...Never Happen Here

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd – Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians'.

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'. 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom,

'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Maybe if we circulate this , American citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

If you agree, please SEND THIS ON.

*sigh*

1) The speech would appear to be fabricated
2) In the text, it mentions "Howard" (the previous conservative PM) but the photo and headline says Rudd
3) Howard might have been willing to stump on a "wogs go home" platform, but Rudd isn't quite there yet
4) Despite the 'if only Americans could speak like this' coda, the speech reeks with various American political fetishes. It's likely to have been written by an American and crudely mangled to include references to Australia

If the writer of this ISN'T full of crap, then Rudd is celebrating as devout Christians some of the worst, most murderous colonialist bastards in the history of exploration. Seriously, COLUMBUS would have told those guys to lay off the natives a little.

Funny, I thought Australia was founded on criminal men and women on criminal principles.

I thought Americans didn't want foreigners to be their president?

Oh, he's white, though...

No one finds it peculiar that a tropic island is full of people just like you and me,

Because Australia's a piece of shit floating in the Pacific,

Buoyed by the blood of the aborigines.

(Although I will happily say that the Australians I have met are all very nice people.)

Google, you are always so good to me.

Originally an America-centric forward, this one has clearly been retrofitted to prove that everyone thinks like us.

Why bother with "mainly ENGLISH" in your made-up speech, Mr. Appropriated Foreign Man in a Crazy Foreign Political Office? Why not just go all out and say ALL real Australians speak English?

I realize this is just a result an American e-mail being made "Australian," but do Australians really claim the over two centuries thing? According to the God of All Internet Knowledge, Wikipedia, the Commonwealth of Australia is only 108 years old. British settlement began around the time we demanded independence. Americans don't say that we've been fighting for freedom for over 400 years. You would think someone would have thought to change that two centuries thing - it is one of the reasons we like to claim we are so special.

"Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks."

You know, that's a pretty brilliant solution. Just tell the terrorists to leave! "Dear terrorists, please leave the United States. This is our bid to head off potential terror attacks."

this is on snopes -- howard, not rudd, made some statements -- most of these are fabricated and distinctly GOP talking points that the rest of the world would shrug off. noone else delights in its ignorance of only knowing one language like the GOP.

Egad. I actually got this one today. I informed the sender that this was cobbled together bits of speech that John Howard (who was almost as appalling as W), the former PM of Aus, said once long ago. And only said something like it, and not all of it.

Please.

I also said that Kevin Rudd is a liberal like BHO and would never say stuff like this. In fact, one of the first thing he did when he was put in office was to APOLOGIZE to the Aborogines for the lost generation (when the Aborigine children were forcibly removed from their parents to be raised as a demi-whites but only so that they could be servants & made to be prostitutes for white men).

John Howard adamantly refused to apologize, but Kevin Rudd did like during his first few days in office.

So, like: as if he would say rubbish like this. I can almost certainly garantee that he hasn't and won't.

I told the email person that it would help a little if they did some research, and that frankly if they just READ the whole thing they would see that at least one segment refers to John Howard, not Kevin Rudd.

Of course, I heard nothing back, and I'm sure that person can't be bothered to do any research bc it would "disturb" the value that she wishes to push onto unsuspecting Aussies.

I used to live there, and I still have many fine Aussie mates. I can assure you that they do NOT agree with this one iota (and they love Obama, thank you very much).
