NEW OBAMA LOOK

Obama The Patriot - Removes American Flag From His Plane

The Patriot Room
Posted on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 8:11:07 AM by Bill Dupray

Barack Obama recently finished a $500,000 total overhaul of his 757. And as part of the new design, he decided to remove the American flag from the tail...
What American running for President of the United States would remove the symbol of his country? And worse, he replaced the flag with it with a symbol of himself... Obama is such a despicable human being.
Please forward this if you're not ashamed of our country and our flag & if you think this is a disgrace . Indispecable!!!

If you do not forward this to everyone you know nothing will happen. If Obama is elected president of the United States we are in trouble. If you think the Liberals can lead our country just look what Pelosi and Reid have accomplished for us.

"Indispecable" made what I was drinking come out of my nose. And if you head over to Snopes, you'll learn that most campaign jets are redone to reflect which candidate they belong to, including George W. Bush.

misspelling made up words is definite a bonus for any conservative.

Wow, this one is still making the rounds?

Long story short: the flag was part of the airline company's design. They didn't paint over "an American flag", they painted over a trademarked corporate identity. I guess RWDs wanted Obama to replace it with another flag.

"Indispecable"? Uh, does that take it around back to good or something?

Conservatives: why are you so stupid? You're led around by the nose like hateful little sheep and you always, ALWAYS fall for this crap. Because ideology is more important than reality to you.

Conservatards "fall for this crap" bc they WANT to fall for it. They want to be constantly outraged by "libruls" just because.

So they make stuff up all day long, cut & paste it together (usually poorly) and send it around to their bleating sheep buddies, none of whom could think for themselves if their idiotic lives depended on it.

They all really need to get a life, but sadly, that's not gonna happen. They are too happy being led around by the nose and being fed lies constantly.

"If you do not forward this to everyone you know nothing will happen. If Obama is elected president of the United States we are in trouble."

Guess some of the right-wing fell down on their chain letter duties. This is probably why we so badly need health care reform: too many people getting sick as a result of not passing on their chain letters properly and incurring the wrath of...um... the...hrm....

Although, taken out of context, I really enjoy "If you do not forward this to everyone you know nothing will happen." There are no consequences to ignoring this e-mail. Enjoy your lives, nothing to see here, sorry to bother you, etc. etc.

My favorite part about this email is that John McCain's plane during the campaign was yellow, blue and white with John McCain written very large on the tail. I am yet to receive a RWF about how McCain appeared to be campaigning on behalf of Sweden.

From Flag Fetishism & the Cult of the Flag

"Some Americans, at least, have developed a cult around their flag in which that flag is treated almost as it if had supernatural powers, and certainly as if it were more than merely a symbol of America. The flag is treated as if it were America itself — as if it were a substitute for America, such that how you treat it were how you treat America."

Uh,like, who cares? Sheee... the stuff that gets sent around. These people must have lives of infinite boredom. I'd almost feel sorry for them, if they weren't such giant pains in the @sses and voted for the dumbest stuff.

If I recall correctly, the first time I ran across this (during the 2008 campaign), it was pointed out to me that the flag on the plane was, you know, the airline company's logo in the first place. Of course you're not going to keep someone else's logo on your plane after you buy it! Or is any combination of red, blue, and stars now sacred and indelible?

Aha, yup: see the Wikipedia article for North American Airlines. Notice anything about the plane shown halfway down the page?
