If these fools would stop "shouting at me" perhaps I could "listen" long enough to figure out what they're saying. Stop w/the all caps, plz.

I like how the characterize "ABC" as the "All Barrack Channel" (misspelling the Pres. name). Where does that come from? WTF? I mean, bc the other stations once in while present something somewhat objectively, suddenly it's sycophantic to BHO?? Please.

Let's not even get into Faux Nutwork which is all conservatarded propoganda all the time with no objectivity ever. Project much?

I don't know about the veracity of this message: whether the Pres and/or Congress are "for real" "refusing" to participate in the proposed new Health Care system, but I find it unlikely.

Perhaps someone w/more fortitude can check that out. My understanding is that the Nat'l Health Care system would provide choices, one of which would be to remain under your current employer's program. My understanding is that one of the main purposes of this system to provide some more adequate coverage for the over 45mill who have no health coverage at all.

I am so tired of their ignorant rants and self-serving, selfish, self-centered, self-righteous b.s. It's all about: I got mine, so eff you.

The interview apparently aired on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopolous, which conveniently isn't online yet.

The question itself sounds a lot like the amendment the Republicans tried to use to shoot down the HELP bill, which would force Congress to use the plan if the bill passes. The amendment was accepted, so we'll see what happens!

Of course, if we really wanted fast reform, a bill to force Congressmen voting against public health care to drop their government health coverage would be even better.

How dare ABC have a lot of coverage of Barack Obama! How dare they give news coverage to the POTUS. For Shame.

How silly this is. The President and Congress are ON a governement health care program already. They seem pretty happy with it.

ABC is hardly the "All Barrack (dumb misspelling)Chanel." Jake Tapper on ABC news is a complete GOP mouthpiece tool, and I can barely stand to watch ABC "news" bc it is so unobjective and panders almost solely to the right.

If this alleged interview was on turn-coat George Stephanopolis's show, then I doubt it was particularly "fair and balanced" either. George has turned into another GOP tool. So I simply cannot see him pandering to BHO.

The right wants ONLY their viewpoint spewed forth 24/7, and if any teensy amount of time is devoted to providing an opposing viewpoint, the right is totally victimized by how "unfair" it is that they have to be exposed to a viewpoint that's different from theirs. Big whining crybabies.

These people need to realize that there are other citizens in this country who are entitled to their viewpoints & opinions, and we won the last election.

I try not to prejudicially think of right wingers as a group--but it is so hard when they do generally share the same personality type. The projection thing is really creepy as they see themselves as opposites of how we see them ie:

victim/bully
Super Christian/basically immoral
rational/bat sh*t crazy

After 10 years of watching Fox News my parents can no longer have a rational argument when it comes to politics. I wish it were senility, but it isn't. They just jump furiously from one random conspiracy theory to another. Logic and reason do not matter because how they FEEL is the important thing. And they FEEL they are RIGHT.

To Bebe 99: YOU are not crazy. I see exactly the same thing in my family. After over a decade of most of my family listening almost solely to Rush Limbaugh & his ilk on the radio, and almost solely watching Fox, they just aren't rational.

Interestingly, when my parents DID start getting senile and they STOPPED watching Fox and listening to Boss Limbaugh, they actually reverted to being more "sane" even whilst becoming senile (if that makes sense). My dad - before he really lost touch w/reality - would read the newspaper and actually QUESTION what was going on - hence NOT just spouting out some weird Rethug "talking point."

Both of my parents have become much NICER people than what they were for a long time, but really, they just turned back into who they were before the brainwashing.

I watch my sisters, their families, etc, in shock and awe at how WEIRD they are. To me, they act fully crazy sometimes, and like you witness, they just spew out talking points based on nothing factual at all. It is all based on what Boss Limbaugh has told them to think today.

It is, frankly, very scary, IMHO, bc they have become like the pod people or something, and really no amount of facts, logic, common sense or whatever will ever penetrate the "armor" that they have been taught to erect around themselves.

I think we all need to be watchful about this (hope I don't sound paranoid) bc it is a reality that I experience in my family, as do others. And these people are convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are RIGHT, and everyone who not in 100% agreement w/their viewpoint is WRONG and should be shouted down, bullied, dissed, and basically, if they had their way, take away our rights.

The corporations have been very clever in brainwashing conservatives to do the dirty work for them. Make no mistake, this is no accident.

"victim/bully
Super Christian/basically immoral
rational/bat sh*t crazy"

EXACTLY. Couldn't of summed this up better.

My uncle asked me a couple of weeks ago why I don't listen to Rimjob and tell him what he's getting wrong....and to tell him.

Oh yea.....that would be REAL effective. I told him it wasn't my job to change his mind about anything. He accused me of being closed minded. I just said "open-mindedness isn't on my agenda today...sanity is" and dropped it.

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than to have a rational discussion with a hateful conservative.

The first thing a conservative gives up when he/she takes that first sip of haterade is reason.

I think the "Birthers" are the primo example of people tossing aside all logic, spouting factually incorrect talking points, and not even listening to you when you bring up *actual evidence* that refutes them.

"What about A?"

"Here's evidence saying A didn't happen."

"Oh, yeah, so where's B?"

"Here's testimony of someone on the location of B."

"Well, how can you prove C didn't happen?"

"Proving a negative is nearly impossible, but here's a whole list of reasons why C probably never occurred. Now, do you have any evidence of C actually happening?"

"..." (Cognitive dissonance kicks in) "Why should I have to prove C when YOU can't even disprove A?"

The issue w/conspiracy theories that you can never "prove" the opposite of whatever it is the theorist WANTS to believe.

You can show them facts, figures, concrete physical evidence, have dozens of experts testifying, etc.

All that will happen is that the conspiracy theorist will say: oh you are ALL just lying or whatever, and the more you argue against my pet theory, the more I BELIEVE it is true.

OTOH, DailyKos takes a very active role in banning 9/11 conspiracy nuts from their website. But so-called "serious news" outlets and media figures give credence to and add fuel to the fire of rightwing conspiracy junk, from the Clintons murdering Vince Foster to this idiotic birth certificate farce.

That Boss Blubberbaugh spews b.s. supporting the birther bunk is no surprise, but now Lou Dobbs is taking it up and lending it credibility.

Lou Dobbs is nearly as bad as Pat Buchanon (and that's saying a lot), but he should really be ashamed of himself (he won't be bc he'll get a big fat check from the corporation that owns his sorry @ss). Some GOP pols are also speaking up in favor of it.

Walter Cronkite is spinning in his grave....

Why would anyone want to give up their government health care? It seems absurd that right-wingers would even want to point out that people with "socialized" (scary, scary, scary,) health care actually like it.

I know the RW hates when you point this out, but Obama is the PRESIDENT. Shouldn't he have the best of the best when it comes to keeping him healthy/alive? I doubt he has "health care" in the way normal Americans think about it.

We Americans give him a house to live in, food to eat, a plane to fly in, a personal security force, etc. I assume we give him top-quality medical care and would continue to do so even if we eliminated all types of health insurance (or for that matter, all hospitals) tomorrow.

Congress is a different issue, but then rather than asking them to give up what they have in favor of what they are offering us, why can't we give up what we have in favor of what they do? Oh, wait...that way socialist communist liberal genocide lies.

To the last Anon post: BHO in the 7/22 Presser re Health Care said exactly that:

1. BHO said he'd be willing to take the Public Option and may at another time in his life. However, right now as POTUS he has a dr "following him around." As such, BHO stated that he, personally, gets "the very best" health care of anyone, but while the public option cannot hope to match that, it will be more than adequate.

2. BHO also stated that the purpose of the public option was to bring UP the level of health care in this country at least close to that which the Congress presently "enjoys."

However, if we don't do something to control costs of Ins. Co. - who continue to record RECORD PROFITS during this severe recession, whilst also continuing to RAISE FEES to users - then no one, including Congress, is going to have adequate health care.

I thought of this disingenuous rwf while I listend to BHO yesterday. This post is a deliberate obfuscation meant solely to dupe the easily mislead and hysterical rightwingtards.

Annoying, unfounded and untrue (what else is new????).
