Subject: Fw: Please read this........you'll be glad you did.......I am
going to do it

I don't know about everyone else, but I am going to do this. I do it
partly now, but I will look at everything from now on and CHOOSE
AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS or DO WITHOUT!!!!

Liz

THE CAN FROM CHINA

I WAS BUYING FOOD THE OTHER DAY AT THE COUNTRY MARKET.

ON THE LABEL OF SOME PRODUCTS IT SAID 'FROM CHINA '.

FOR EXAMPLE THE "OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF THE MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT
ON THE CAN 'FROM CHINA '.

I WAS SHOCKED!!

SO FOR A FEW MORE CENTS I BOUGHT THE LIBERTY GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE
SINCE IT'S FROM CALIF.

TAKES FOREVER JUST TO BUY FOOD AND DO LABEL READING ! !

Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do
not think? While the Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export
inferior and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be
sold in American markets, the media wrings its hands and criticizes
the ex-Bush Administration for perceived errors.

Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to
the Chinese should be suspended..

Well, duh... why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, AMERICA !!

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says
'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply
choose another product , or none at all. You will be amazed at how
dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed
at what you can do without.

Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter? If you must have eggs, use
real ones and benefit some American farmer.. Easter is just an
example, the point is do not wait for the government to act. Just go
ahead and assume control on your own.

THINK ABOUT THIS: If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20
each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance
resolved in our favor.....fast!!

The downside? Some American businesses will feel a temporary pinch
from having foreign stockpiles of inventory. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh !!!

The solution? Let's give them fair warning and send our own message.
Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are
planning on implementing this on June
4, and continue it until July 4. That is only one month of trading
losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8%, of
their American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves
if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.

Remember, June 4 to July 4.

EVEN BETTER. .. . START NOW.

Send this to everybody = 20 you know. Let's show them that we are
Americans and NOBODY can take us for granted.

If we can't live without cheap Chinese goods for one month out of our
lives, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET!

Pass it on, America ,PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was another forward like this one a while back. It's like these folks are Rip Van Winkle or something, awakening from a prolonged slumber only to discover that this country's been taken over by China or something.

Just wait'll they finally figure out that China is really our overlord bc of all of the debt we incurred to them under W's reign of error (although they'll find some way to blame it on dimocrats).

DUH! Why do you think Wal-Mart is so cheap? Of course, if eeevul libruls talk about Chinese slave labor making cheap goods for the USA, we are decried as idiots.

But I like this sentence:
"Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do not think?"

The answers to that are: YES and YES!!!

Thank gawd, I think that person finally got it (or got something, although I'm not sure what).

Well, given how it has been US CORPORATIONS which have been outsourcing jobs overseas and US CONSUMERS (especially the "real murkins" living in the heartland) that have been buying up that shit at Wal*Mart, as well as W. who single-handedly sold us to the Chinese lock, stock, and barrel via government bonds, you can't really then turn around and blame the liberals.

Hey conservatards? This may blow your mind but...try buying locally and in season via farmshares. At least then you'd be giving money to fellow Americans (albeit the liberal hippies you can't stand...which come to think of it in your minds might be worser than giving to our evil Chinese overlords).

Wow, who knew it would be so easy to solve our trade imbalance? All we needed was one savvy wingnut to send out this email to everyone in his address book, and presto! ...a month's worth of exports from China magically get erased. Yeah, that'll show 'em!

Here's an equally plausible solution:
1. Everyone in America flush your toilets at the same time!
2. ???
3. No more trade imbalance! Woo-hoo!

I love how he assumes that since there are 12 months in a year, that boycotting Chinese goods for 1 month will result in a 1/12th drop of Chinese exports. yeah. People buy the same amt. of crap in June as they do in December. Good to know!

The Rip Van Winkle comment was spot on.

And good luck finding those American-made products.
